It was a moonless night in sunagakure. Gaara lay in his large four poster bed trying to get some sleep so he could get some work done the next day. It had been a few weeks since he was kidnapped by the Akatsuki, and killed while the Shukaku was being pulled from him. Gaara rolled over, trying to get more comfortable. He glared and finally gave up on the whole idea of sleep.
Gaara (only in a black tee-shirt and red boxer short’s) walked across to the other side of his room where a secret door to his office stood. He turned the cold silver doorknob and pushed open the door. As Gaara walked in to his office he let out a gasp of surprise, for he saw the blond Akatsuki member who had kidnapped him only weeks before! “Deidara what the hell are you doing in my office!” Gaara growled as he readied himself for a battle.
  Deidara looked up at Gaara and replied, “Nothing, just trying to find a place to stay un” Gaara looked confused. “What, but don’t you have your own place at the Akatsuki hideout?” Turning to face away from the red-head Deidara replied “I…I don’t like what I had to do to you…with the whole killing you and all un” he continued “I did not want you to hate me for it un” Gaara couldn’t think of anything to say to the now bright red blond.
“That’s no excuse! I can never forgive you for something like that!” Gaara hissed at Deidara. Flinching at every word the young Kazekage yelled, Deidara walked to the large window positioned behind Gaara’s desk. “Right …. Sorry. If I where you I probably would not forgive myself either un.”  Deidara said as he opened the window and stepped out on the sandy patio and disappeared with a puff of smoke.
Gaara walked back to his bedroom, thinking hard about what Deidara had said to him. “I don’t want you to hate me” That phrase haunted him all night. Gaara also couldn’t help to wonder why his enemy was blushing! “baka” he told himself “stop thinking about him!” Pulling his dark grey blankets over his head, Gaara tried sleeping once more.
Gaara woke to blinding sunlight shining through a little window in a corner of his room. “Damn and I just fell asleep too” he mumbled to himself as he got out of bed. He slowly walked to a little bathroom opposite of the secret door leading to his office. Trying to strip down and open the bathroom door at the same time Gaara soon made his way to his shower.
Now reeling refreshed Gaara put on his usual attire and headed for his office to start on the days paperwork. He noticed from the heaviness that hung around the air that it had raining for quite a bit the previous night. Feeling his cheeks starting to turn pink the young Kazekage, desperate to get his thoughts clear, walked to his large window and looked out upon his village.
“ACHOO!!” This sound startled Gaara and he jumped back in alarm! Getting over the startling sneeze he opened the window and stepped out on his patio. Looking over Gaara realized the Deidara did not leave sunagakure but had fallen asleep in the rain. Deidara looked up at Gaara and tried to find an excuse but failed. Coughing he stood up and stumbled forward.
Gaara caught the soaking wet blond before he fell. “Well I can’t leave you out hear all wet and cold like this” Gaara said quietly as he helped Deidara inside. The two boys stumbled to Gaara’s bedroom. There Gaara helped Deidara onto his bed, and when Deidara was comfortable the Kazekage fixed some to bowls of hot ramen for them both to eat.
